The EL4500U system uses a four channel Transmitter and a single channel Receiver to extend Ethernet and PoE.
The EL4500U can be used on new or existing cable and is designed to greatly extend the distances to which IP network devices can operate. In addition to network communication the EL450U is ideal for PoE applications. It allows all power to flow from the head end for most camera applications. In unique cases where high power PoE is needed it can inject up to 25 watts of power at the Transmitter end.
The EL4500U is another component of the Nitek cutting edge Etherstretch™ line.
This Environmentally Hardened Etherstretch™ link solution allows for the utilization of existing or the installation of new Category Communication (UTP) cabling. With the addition of an external power supply (PS48), this transmission set can supply PoE power to operate 4 IP network devices.
The link system transmits data from the 4 IP network devices over the four pair UTP cable for distances up to 600 meters (1968 feet).
The EL4500U is a 4 port Transmitter and Receiver link set which can work with any of the standard network switch requiring very little installation time and absolutely no set up or configuration. These units quickly turn ordinary UTP cable into a high speed network communication pathway. The EL4500U is transparent to the network requiring no IP and MAC addressing. Simply connect your network devices to the IP Ports of the Transmitter, connect the Transmitter to the Etherstretch™ branded UTP Receiver and the system begins communicating. LED indicators show the status of network communication and PoE power. The EL4500U requires no network settings to be changed or adjusted.
The Nitek Etherstretch™ EL4500U extends network communications to overcome cable distance limitations offering connections to devices in locations traditional networking does not allow. The EL4500U is ideal for retrofitting existing installations. The units are constructed of industrial grade RoHS compliant plated aluminium which is finished with a corrosion resistant finish making it very durable.
