The American Fibertek MX-6p-PoE Series transmits and receives (4) copper 10/100 Base-TX Ethernet signals at the RJ45 ports and (2) optical 1000 Base-X over 1 or 2 optical fibers. The system is comprised of two or more units forming a communications link.
The Series MX-6p-PoE Series also sources power to devices from the RJ45 ports over the copper connection. All 4 RJ45 ports may be used to deliver dc power (802.3af 15 watts) or (802.at 30 watts) to PD devices.
The MX-6p-PoE is targeted for applications where the customer has 48 volts available (such as in security monitoring of solar farms). An external 48 volt power supply, provided by the customer, needs to provide the required watts for the application. The recommended watts for 4 ports of 802.3af and 802.3at is 70 watts and 130 watts respectively.
